Chose Life!

Hohoho!! This entry tops all of my experience here in the states! It is either the saddest thing or the most disillusional lie ever told by an old man.

This morning as we entered the office, Spider King came storming into the office. Raising his voice, he demanded why we left the office early yesterday. Halo? What? Working hours for **Inc USA is 8am-4.30pm. So… Leaving at 5pm yesterday was early?

Well, Spider King continued rampaging and my Malaysian colleague couldnt stand him anymore. My colleague said we have finished our work, so why cant we leave? Then Spider King retorted, "You now work for **Inc USA! So u have to follow what me and Vampire King say."

From that point, I boiled over. I was biting my lips in anger over his outburst earlier but this was too much. I told him calmly,

1. We do not work for ** Inc USA. We are only helping you out. We get our pay from ** Malaysia.

2. A press release yesterday said that, "The unprofitable branch of ** North America Sales and Services has ceased operations starting Monday 8th of May 2006."

I told him all these while keeping my cool. And I was right in saying so. He, on the other hand, almost 2 1/2x of my age (old ojiisan) was getting hot headed. =P How’s that for aging with maturity?

Wohoo!! Tat was a slap in the face for Spider King. I told him to his face that we are not working for him and we do not take orders from him on our working hours. Secondly, your branch (or company - he’s dellusional. He thinks this sorry excuse of an office with a handful of ppl is a company!), is not making money. It’s being closed down by our (my) mother company in Malaysia! So that means, you have not managed "yr company" well enuff. =P

He quickly got my message and toned down his voice. He later said, "Look, we r doing things the new way now. That’s y we need your help. We need to set a new trend. ** Inc USA was not making money last time because ppl were not working right. U can help us change that.. With the right attitude, u can help me turn around the company."

WAhahahahah!! How quickly this two headed snake turns his fangs around amazes me. I just nodded my head in agreement but not to his last sentences, but to the admission of the company being IMPROPERLY RUN. He doesnt know that HE and VAMPIRE KING are the ones who r bringing the company down. Sighhh.. Delusional. Anyway, when I finish my work, I will leave whenever as long as it’s 4.30pm and over.

Besides, Vampire King and Spider King has told our superior that the Malaysian should work until 6pm. Note: They have not told their USA subordinates to work till 6pm coz it’s a breach of human rights. Their contract says that they work from 8am-4.30pm. So…. THIS IS DISCRIMINATION. We will not adhere to this type of treatment. We will work whenever we need to but we will not listen to their orders.
